Sorry I'm so neglectful of you, my LJ comrades.

I haven't even looked at my friends page yet, today.  preparing to go to Florida )

I got the book I ordered from Abebooks - Emily Eden's "Up The Country: Letters to her sister from the upper provinces of India"!  Unfortunately it turns out that it's volume 2 of 2 - that wasn't at all clear to me when I was ordering it - but it should be interesting reading, regardless.  I wonder if I should write to the seller and ask if he has volume 1, also?  I think I should read it in the open air, though, as it appears to be a first edition with all the dust intact.  Not for reading on the plane.

bah!

I have things I want to put on my mp3 player ([livejournal.com profile] daegaer's voice!  Plus, emo chinese music posted by [livejournal.com profile] bravecows!) but the damned player won't be recognized by my computer and remains stubbornly disconnected, and it's time for me to go to work. :P  Am considering leaving it in hopes [livejournal.com profile] eor can fix it after he comes home, but also want music to walk to work by.  Or, at this point, ride the bus by.
