Pleased with myself
I voted in town elections, got to work super early AND got over 5 thousand steps in. ;) I forgot it was voting day and set out for a walk, remembered after I was heading home, and really moved my feet on the way back. And yeah, I cut out or skimped on some morning rituals that should not be ignored every day, so this is not the kind of thing I would want to do too often.
Maybe now it's time to call the Fiat dealership and see if I can get Eor's car in for a brake job sometime this summer.
Oh, I have a trainee yesterday and today. I have not mentored anyone in ages, but she is right on the ball. She should be - she used to be in the quality control department for the US Navy's nuclear subs. I was like "why do you want to be here?" She still wants to serve her country. Which I get. For all my grousing, that's why I took this job. I'm fact, that is why I get upset at the mismanagement. They should be doing more to keep the workers happy so we wouldn't be understaffed.
