Heh! It's actually a lot better near Christmas because first there's the traditional threat of a postal workers' strike, then the entire population of the country freaks out and sends ten metric tonnes of cards per person early, and then the government realises that delayed cards and presents = disgruntled voters and there's an election year coming and then the postal workers get what they want and there's multiple deliveries every day including the weekends. Yay, Christmas, when postmen (and they are always men that I've seen) work on Sundays!
