I had a burn last Saturday and I put a band-aid over it (to hold on some Doctor Burt's Comfrey Ointment, which seemed to work great). I think I took the second band-aid off on either Sunday or Monday, and I've been watching all week to see when the mark from the band-aid glue would go away. It's still there. It's finally no longer pink, but the outlines of both the band-aids are still visible, a pale brownish, and the skin is dry and finely wrinkled. The place where the band-aid glue was looks exactly like the healing burn, in fact. Now, I know I have sensitive skin, but this seems a bit ridiculous. Is there such a thing as hypoallergenic band-aids? I've never noticed. But I've also never noticed this effect before. And no, it's not the Burt's, it's clearly only where the glue was, not where the pad of the band-aid was.
(I'm mainly just recording this because I don't want to forget and use these Hannaford band-aids again. In fact, I should cut this.)
