not feeling like writing complete sentences.

Frustrated with my trainees comments on people of different races/sexual orientations. I don't think he's actually homophobic, really, he just thinks that's an acceptable way to make conversation. I snapped at him a little yesterday afternoon, said if he was going to keep making jokes like that there could be a problem. He didn't really back down at that moment, but later on he characterized me as a person of convictions, so I guess he might have at least heard part of it. Seriously, though, regardless of what he personally feels, it's very easy to get in trouble around here, and it has happened that a cleaning person turned someone in for making what she thought were homophobic comments. If anyone walking by is offended by anything someone says, regardless of not having the full story on the people who are talking or their relationship, it can be mean paperwork in your file.
Going for a walk, now, and hopefully can concentrate on writing Star Trek story full of gayness when I return.
