49) "A Bad Beginning" - Lemony Snickett

51) "The Aztecs" - John Lucarotti Although not very well adapted as a book (events which should have had some time were hurried), it was not just random running back and forth. There was an attempt to show a different culture, there was intrigue, and the Doctor got engaged! (To a woman he really liked! And it was the old dude Doctor, the first one!)
Short, easy books have put me ahead of schedule. 'Course it's a bit of a cheat.
