Several other reasons Hawk and his towering GF should not sleep in the van:

1) They are both very tall (him 6'1" and her 6'2"). Eor and I are both short (me 5'4" and him 5'5"), and we have trouble with feeling the beds are too short. (Germans made this? I thought Germans were supposed to be tall. I say the same thing every time I wash dishes in that sink, too.)

2) Eor's in the middle of replacing the old air conditioning unit (which we haven't used in years) with a cabinet, so we'll have a little more storage space (always nice in a camper).

I just went over said cabinet with a sponge - he's done so several times, I think, but it still dropped more little mouse turds out. He just went up and got it from his favorite van guy, yesterday, where it had been sitting in a field and mice had nested in it. Van Guy lives in the woods, of course. True van guys probably always will. :)

I had intended to work on cleaning the cabinet more, but I suspect that what's left to remove of old paper covering is probably best not removed. It's really stuck down well, and quite smooth, so new covering should go over it fine. It might actually break up the particle board to try to remove it. I think the mouse smell will fade with time.

There's other things I had hoped to do, today, and now my time is all gone. Poop. I did at least get grocery shopping and dishes done, so kind of held my own at least a little. Er. I can't call in sick to clean house, can I? Um.

Oh dear, I forgot to eat breakfast.
