what IS it with the smell?

*washes dishes*
*takes out garbage*
*disinfects garbage can*
How long has it been since I had to take out the garbage because it stank? Sunday - day before yesterday. And I already had to do it again? The bag wasn't half full even though I added the bathroom garbage to it as well, but it smelled so horrible I was embarassed when Teena came over last night. I can't take out the garbage every day! What do I do about this smell?? I think I'm going to take to wrapping every bit of chicken trimmings in plastic bags before throwing them away, and spraying disinfectant into the can a couple of times a day.

try putting baking soda in the bottom of the can maybe?

Have tried putting it on top of the garbage, but to no result, really.

i know this is going to sound weird, but take all of your chicken sweepings and other biological waste, throw it in a little plastic shopping bag (i recommend double bagging) and chuck it in your freezer til garbage day.
i don't eat much meat, but in the summer, if you have any meat products in the trash, you're asking for a house that smells like rottin death. specially if you don't have ac.

It's a good idea, though I suppose the reason I haven't done that yet is because I was afraid it would sound too weird... but then again, it's much more embarassing to have the house smell horrible when I have a visitor over than to have Eor pull a bag out of the freezer and go, "what's this?"

this is exactly what i think as well. at first i was like 'ew. what if someone opens my freezer and sees a bizarre bag in it?' well i don't think i've ever had someone come over and look in my freezer, but i've certainly had people come over who can detect bad smells, so it's really the lesser of two evils.
