boring...

One of the reasons I haven't been posting much is that things have been really boring. A typical morning has been breaking down about like this:

Oatmeal and tea while reading a new Pratchett hardback or looking at my friends list and writing a few comments.
A long bath while reading a crappy paperback.
Eggs and toast while watching "Spaced" on Hulu.
Pack lunch and put dishes in the dishwasher.
Leave for work.

Monday was nice, though - I went to the Register of Deeds in Portland and did some research, which took only about 45 minutes. I had paid for the parking space for two hours, though, so I left the car there and walked around the Old Port for a while, had a breakfast sandwich and a cup of tea at Old Port Variety while reading my new Pratchett book, wandered back to the car and realized that I STILL had an hour before I had to go to work, so since I had already had things I shouldn't eat I decided to have more things I shouldn't eat and went to Anania's looking for breakfast pizza. Didn't find any, but I got a scone and another cup of tea and parked at Stroudwater while reading and consuming that. And was watched by a cop for a while; he seemed to think sitting there was suspicious, but he got bored eventually.

I mean, it's nothing much to talk about, but it was really relaxing.

That does sound nice. I'm reading Stardust at the moment which is lovely, but it's in PDF form, and your post has reminded me (as if I needed reminding) why electronic books will never surpass paper ones in charm. That story wouldn't work with a kindle. Or maybe I'm just being backward and awkward.

Speaking of books, I'm curious. Why the different book for the bath? Is the new Pratchett too heavy on the wrists?
