dark chocolate

Wish I'd walked to work - it's marvelously warm, today (in fact, for the last three days or so!) as [livejournal.com profile] eor has mentioned.  I started out a little early, hoping to pick up the book I'd ordered through interlibrary loan, but not early enough to walk.  Certainly not early enough to change my plans when I was reminded that the library doesn't open until noon on Thursdays. :P

I stopped at Portland Public Market, though... and found green peppercorns (we've been out for a while and there's a few dishes we haven't been able to make), and a maple candy for my Mom, and (shhh) lapsang souchong tea in bags... which I took to work to share. :)  And something I've decided is the food of the gods; cranberries in dark chocolate.  oh. my. word. yum.

Oh yes, as Eor also mentioned... vacations. I got my first bid, today, and got my week in September. Now to decide what part of Europe we think we might reasonably be able to visit in a week.

Wait. You're saying...dark chocolate. Plus cranberries. WHY HAVE I NOT HAD THIS BEFORE?

I'd never seen it before, and I can't believe people are so silly that these are not available all over the place because they're so damned addictive.

Brussels. And from there Amsterdam and Paris are easy train rides.

=)
