feeling a little better

I should not have a dishwasher.  I'd lose some of that cheap high I get off saying, "I did some dishes!"

Food, tea* and a shower are also very good things.  Why don't I have the sense to start out my day like I should, with food, tea and a shower just as soon as I get Eor out the door?  I should try it tomorrow.

You must learn to be content with the cheapest of thrills: "I turned on the dishwasher!" But the real accomplishment is unloading the dishwasher; I am quite pleased with myself whenever I accomplish that task. :)

Let me know how that goes for you, please. My biggest barrier to doing such things is that it would require me to wake up 20 minutes earlier. And considering how late I stay up, that's not an attractive thought.

Hee! :)

Well, I don't have the excuse of sleeping late - I always get up at 6AM, and don't go to work until 11. In FIVE HOURS I'm lucky if I feed myself and take a shower. Doing dishes is gravy.

Eor just said to me, "You have a dawdling style, that's your style," completely acceptingly, and without an ounce of begrudgement or nagging. I don't know why I can't just accept that in myself the way HE accepts it in me. I dawdle in the mornings. That's how I am.

I oftentimes have not gotten enough sleep before 6AM, but I'm lucky if I can get back to sleep.

Egad, but 6 AM comes dashed early, doesn't it? I should get up then, but usually don't open my eyes till 6.20 or. And I start work at 7. Thank goodness I'm only 10 minutes from the office! ;)

Aw, that was sweet for him to say. It's wonderful when the people who love us really do accept us for who we are, isn't it? Especially when they're more forgiving of our perceived faults than we are of our own. Yay for loved ones!
