Not the best picture of my hair, but I like it. :)

We forgot about taking pics outdoors during daylight.

Yeah, I've never in my life had it this short, and I LOVE how it feels, even with freezing at the concert the other night. :)

It's really nice! I'm going to get my hair cut short soon too because it's driving me maaad.

Yeah, that was the case with mine - and it's always bothered me. I remember my grandmother saying that I was 'allergic to my own hair' when I was little, because I would scratch all around the edges of my face and neck and have bumpy spots. Although now I'll probably have a similar reaction where my neck hair will grow back in.

Looks good! I'm increasingly tempted to cut all my hair off, too, but I've decided I enjoy the way it swishes about when I dance too much :)

Mine never really swished, it was too fine and curly, which made it do a floaty thing. But then you've often had quite short hair and having it long is more the novelty to you, right? To me this is a complete novelty - I haven't had my hair this short since I was little and the neighbor boy threw burdocks in it. Even then I liked it so much that I cut off my doll's hair to match. My mother was appalled, and wouldn't cut my hair short again when it began to grow out, and since then I've bowed to everyone else's opinion that it was 'too pretty to cut' - in fact I think that somewhere in the back of my brain was the idea that my face was not pretty enough to stand on it's own with no hair around it. Now... I don't know if I've become happy with my face or begun to not care what other people think, but it seems as if a face as angular as mine really looks better to me without lots of hair around it. Right now I feel as if this hairstyle suits me much more than anything I've ever had before. This is probably about unconscious masculine prejudice, isn't it? Short hair is the hair of someone who's competent and can get things done.

Yeah, I had short hair from when I was about 12 until I was about 19/20, then I alternated being lazy and letting it get to chin length and getting annoyed and hacking it all off. But this time I left it enough that I can actually tie it back without it getting in my face, and now I have discovered fun methods of keeping it out of my face using scarf-things I bought in Japan, so yeah. There's definitely an element of everyone else seeming to like it long, and it's easier to keep looking vaguely neat too.

I think face shape is definitely important for whether or not you look good with short hair - my face has changed shape a lot over the years, too. But I definitely think the short hair look works for you :)

Yeah, I see what you mean. When I was in school someone once told me I should grow my hair long while I still should, because "long hair is for little girls". (Hm, I think Adam would be amused to hear that one.)
