I might be losing it.

Our Assistant Director came in for a bit of the training today and asked a question. When I gave him the answer (as per script in the text) he gave me that look that everyone does, because it doesn't make sense, and I said, "I know, I can barely keep from busting out laughing when I say that." And then he made up a reason for the answer, which I should have expected because he's totally a company man. What the fuck was I thinking by running down the script in his hearing?

Still, when it's us regular people in there we have a good time, we laugh a LOT at the silliness. I know it's true that there must be people who aren't that bright in the organization, but mostly I think they've gotten to the upper tiers.

Got to drive half an hour south tomorrow by 7:30am so that we can then turn around and drive north.

That'd be the good old Peter Principle, I imagine :)

Yes, dear old Peter, I think I have him to blame. ;) What baffles me is why can't I seem to rise to the level of my incompetence? People get paid better the less they actually do or think. ;)
