I seem to have nothing but inane, banal shit to talk about
I don't know what has sucked my brain, lately, but I just feel like I'm the most boring person on the planet, lately. Got a new haircut a week ago, and spent a day or two thinking it looked like a horrible mullet and that was the reason nobody was saying anything about it. Finally asked Li'l Sis, because I've worked with her for ten years and I know I can trust her to give me an honest answer, and she looked at me wide-eyed and said she really hadn't noticed that I'd had it cut at all, because it looked pretty much the same. I mean, that's just the height of dull - my hair doesn't even look bad, it just looks the same.
It looks as though I might get sent to Chelsea, MA for training, next week, only for Friday (the 23rd?), but it does mean travelling down Thursday evening. I was hoping this might mean getting to hang with somebody fun like feverbeats or beowabbit, but if I work all day, drive home, get Eor to drive me back to Portland so I can take the bus to Logan so I can take a shuttle from there to the hotel I'm supposed to be staying at, well, I don't expect I can possibly arrive before 8pm, and most likely after, so it'll probably be a delightful evening of watching tv for a half hour and then a fitful slumber, as I never sleep well in a new place. I do not expect the class to be fascinating, as there appear to be only two things on the program that I don't already know how to do. Possibly I should look at this as an opportunity to break my tea-drinking record.
