The last apple tree went into the ground last night! :D We shouldn't have another planting session like this, EVER.
(I'm not going to listen to any of the versions of "Junior Birdmen Song" on YouTube to find out if I got this scansion about right.)
When you see the grand announcement,

It takes:
21 raspberries
17 lingonberries
9 honeyberries
7 lowbush blueberries
5 plums
5 apples
3 sugar maples
3 blackberries
3 trillium
2 hazelnuts
2 chokeberries
and 2 fiddlehead ferns!
ETA: Somehow we forgot to include the Giant Medlar. "12 to 20 feet" is the projected hight, which doesn't seem very giant to me. I hope it thrives, as we've planted it in the windiest spot on the front year.
