Am trying to clear the lien which was put on my mother's property because of a debt she owed (I legally can't sell her house until I get this sorted out). I have been through no less than 7 different phone numbers trying to talk to the right person. One hung up on me in the first two minutes, most were simply just not the right person, several had technical issues which made it impossible to talk to them the first time around and I had to call several times, one didn't recognize my phone's button tones when I tried to get through the phone tree, another had no proper option to talk to a person, one (1-800-666-3419) had been disconnected. This final one told me they would refer the case to a specialist who will call me back in 3 to 5 business days. A specialist in fleecing people I'm sure.
I want to give them money that I don't actually owe them. It should be illegal for them to make this so damned difficult. Should I fire my lawyer for not advising me on this?
