Hm, the last time I posted was September 7th? What the hell have I been doing? Well, going to physical therapy for my knees every Friday morning, trying to help Eor cut up the tree and/or harvest and process tomatoes most evenings. He's been doing an amazing job being productive and using an ax, but the afternoons are growing quite short, suddenly, and the last two days have been rainy evenings.

I had a plan of either processing tomatoes or sewing or sweeping the floors this evening. I got the kitchen floor swept, got distracted by dishes, and somehow didn't get much else done. *sigh* Well, I'll go wash more tomatoes after posting.

...

Right. Instead I got a cider, read all of FB and am not washing any tomatoes. Well, whatever.

Does anyone remember if I made a note a while back about reading a book which I thought was really well written, or at least decent, and then all of a sudden it turned into a Scooby Doo mystery? I swear, I know I read a book which I thought that about within the past... year and a half. Since we've been living here. Anyway, it happened again. Really good book, then all of a sudden there's this Scooby Doo plot right in the middle of it, and I'm wondering if it was written by the same person or if this is just some kind of weird fad. The book I just read which took this weird turn was "A Natural History of Dragons" by Marie Brennan. I should say no more lest I spoil a good book for someone. Seriously, the rest of it was really worth reading.
