Facebook might have just made itself so damned annoying that I give up on it. Usually I have a pattern of opening several instances of FB, setting one to chronological order and scanning down to where I've seen a lot of posts beforek then scanning up, and with a different tab I look at comments and responses, and sometimes I follow up with a few more tabs on specific people's pages to catch up with what they are doing. Tonight nothing would move. I think it has something to do with my stubbornness about not updating my Adobe Flash, but damn, I feel like I have to update it all the time. Anyway, FB has been taking me away from actually journalizing.
Ah, the rice sock is warm, the microwave has dinged, that means it's time to head for bed with my hot chocolate and book. I've borrowed Kim Stanley Robinson's "The Years of Rice and Salt" from a friend. So far an incarnation of Monkey is running around a Europe emptied by the Black Plague. It's quite a grabber from the start.

So, I woke up in the morning and found this hadn't posted. Grr. I'm going to back post it to about where it should be.
