What is up with there being just so incredibly much fanfic being posted right now? Or have I just spread myself over too many fandoms?

And what am I doing up this early? Eor had to get up and put the steering wheel back on the van before leaving for work to attend an early meeting, and I don't even feel like going back to sleep. I mean, I do, but if it's going to get nasty hot later I don't want to, and I've been up for 45 minutes, it's hard to get back to sleep.

We got ourselves a water filter for the sink, so the water is about drinkable, now! It doesn't taste like poison and poop quite so much. I actually took a glass and set it on the bedside table for the first time in months.

Other highlights of our breakneck weekend - we cooked catfish (something we haven't done in years because we were concerned about setting the fire detectors off in apartments) and sat at the bar island in our kitchen to eat it because we got new/old bar chairs off Craig's List. :D (Also because the table is currently taken over by Eor's project of cleaning and photographically recording the information on these old records which fill our kitchen.)

Anyway, the catfish was really friggin GOOD - I don't recall exactly what went into it, but I know fresh thyme and dried green peppercorns were involved there, among other things. Fresh green beans with turmeric and cumin seed were quite delicious, also, and corn on the cob, and potatoes boiled the day before and refried with garlic and rosemary. I love when we cook something different!
