I finally got myself a stylus pen, which does make it easier for me to do the hunt-and-peck on the phone keyboard, mostly by getting my huge hand out of the way so I can see the keyboard, and plan my next move. It's still not easy for me compared to using a full sized keyboard. But now I feel the pain of all the old guys I have worked with who had not had actual typing class in high school. I was never fast enough to become a professional typist, but at the top of my game I could keep up with many people's dictation, and my own thoughts. I think slowly.
I picked up the stylus pen yesterday when I was out grocery shopping and once again realised I had forgotten a pen with which to check off my list - that's how a lot of my pens are bought. I have debated getting one of these grocery list apps, but in the store yesterday I heard a guy telling his friend that he'd had to go back out to his car to charge his phone so he could get to his list app.
Yesterday it was three stores before I got most of the items I wanted, or reasonable substitutions thereof, and still no toilet paper. (Although I admit I forgot to look at the last store - I was tired by then.) When we get down to two rolls I will ask at the service desk, but we still have 9. Daily tp count, sound off! How many rolls do you have left?
And then as I was leaving the last store my manager called and offered me today off work as well... This works. Hopefully the dump will be open. Tomorrow when I go in I get to find out which days I have off next week.
Next week was supposed to be a vacation. We had planned a trip to Arizona to see Eightball-Tiger, Hawk-Monkey, Minx, Little Miss Longshanks and Old Aunt S., but since we are now not traveling I decided to rescind my days off. I couldn't see taking a vacation from processing like 15 people per day.
So yesterday Hawk-Monkey set up a Zoom meeting for us... It went about the way I expected. OAS dominated the conversation and was unable to use the tech, Eightball-Tiger did not show up, Minx apparently decided to take Miss Longshanks on a walk to give us space. That last, together with how he rescheduled when he realised I couldn't be available Tuesday... I feel certain that Hawk wants us all together to talk about how his cancer treatments are going, and the answer is probably not good. No news is good news with him. I wonder if I should just text him and ask him if that's what's up.
