I've searched for a while but can't find the animated icon I wanted to use. I think I've lost it. It was when the London bombings happened - was that 2005? It said something like "Bad day at work? Tea. Boyfriend left you? Tea. Terrorist bombings bring your city to a standstill? Tea." The first thing that happened of course, was people came out of shops and offices and apartments with blankets and tea for all the people coming out of the smoke of the Underground.
Years later some people said using that icon was 'insensitive', but at the time it was intended as a testament to the resilience of London. They know how to respond to a crisis, they have an unfortunate amount of practice.
