Got my second COVID vaccine (Moderna) Thursday, and experienced some pretty strong symptoms on Friday. Went back to bed at 0700, dozed fitfully until 1100, when I got up to be sure I would be able to sleep at my normal time, and pooped around being good for nothing with the body aches. Watched two eps of "The No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency." Delightful show, and Jill Scott is quite an impressive actor!

One of my coworkers (KT) texted to see how I was doing, and he said he'd had no symptoms at all. Eor thought that might be because he could already have had the Rona and not known it, because it doesn't give everyone symptoms. To which KT replied that if his mom and sister knew that some people could have it with no symptoms they would freak. Uh? How can anyone avoid knowing that this is a thing? It's what makes it so dangerous. Yes, it makes a lot of people freak, but this is the knowledge that at least half the country has been working on for the past year. Are they listening only to Faux News?

I thought I was feeling well enough yesterday that I will go to work today, and then didn't sleep all that well last night, I guess, because feeling super tired and out of it today. But, I'm going to work. I don't think I feel bad enough for staying home another day to make sense. Even if I do get two Admin days for side effects of the vaccine, I don't really want to use them both if I don't HAVE to.

Eor is using his Christmas Eve day off, today, and happily drinking tea and reading Arthur Ransome. :D

I got my first dose Friday (Moderna), and felt mostly tired ....my arm hurt
a fair amount for 24 hours. My second dose is April 2....
the person giving shot was mad because I her to change her gloves.
I'm of the notion that being clean during any kind of medical interaction is
a very good thing.

She had just wiped down waiting chairs (for reason she thought spraying those
4 waiting chairs important???
She then wiped the gloves with some kind of disinfectant and thought she as ready ...
perhaps I'm being picky but hand disinfectants are made for skin ....to be effective
one is suppose get hands wet then rub until dry ......
not put on already wet gloves and just rubbed around.
The friction\drying part is fairly important.
