Looks To Alaska got after me for not posting, and then she read eor's catch-up post and understood how it's been.
Also, not mentioned in eor's catch-up post, I'm going to Physical Therapy two days each week right now, and trying to do my exercises on the other days. ;) This time it's a knee issue. Well, the exercises are supposed to help my hips start tracking better so one of my legs isn't shorter than the other. My shoulder is still not right after surgery a year ago, so it's still hard to sleep on my right side, and I guess sleeping mostly on my left for the past 10 years has twisted my hip...? Quite often the left hip and leg starts to hurt after I've slept on it for a while. But laying on my back is not good for my breathing, so... sleep is difficult. It's hell getting old. But then again, I've probably only got 20 more years of this before I'm done, so I'm glad for what I've got. Eor thinks that despite my genetic background I can have longer if I exercise and eat right, and I'll grant that time is likely to be more pleasant if I do, what there is of it, so I'm trying to follow his lead. :)
Been so busy I haven't managed to contact anyone about getting that colonoscopy I was supposed to have after being hospitalized back in the beginning of June.
Haven't touched my French in ages, of course, so that's good money down the drain.
I did attend The Penguin's 'celebration of life' with KT, so there'd be some representation from work. Very few people were wearing masks, aside from us. I saw one teenage girl who was. Turned out there was some other representation from work: a couple of mannikins who had been higher up in the food chain, both retired, were there. Possibly they attended that church. Big place, carpeted wall to wall, soft cushy chairs, speakers on the wall, a stage rather than a lectern, and all the nice cars were pouring in for ages, a steady stream. Not quite your Southern Mega Church, but probably one of the bigger houses of worship for this area. I had no idea such places existed around here. KT and I were all we saw for real people, no other line staff. We stood in line to shake the hand of his widow, then scrammed quick as we could, and went back to my place, where eor and his sister were stacking wood in the hot sun. KT hadn't seen our place before, and he wants to bring up his metal detector and see if he can find any treasures.
And I just realized that I wrote this like two weeks ago and never posted it. In between I had a birthday! I'm so old that I literally have real trouble remembering how old. Mid-fifties. Got PT today, so really need to run, now.
