I got all hyper about seeking out the rout to Common Ground Fair for tomorrow. And then Hawk looked at the map and said, "I thought we would just do this..." He knows where he's going, I should have realized. :) It's only the last bit that he was a somewhat off on, and as Eor points out, if you get anywhere near it there are signs to guide you in.
We're stopping at the A1 Diner in Gardiner for breakfast, so we should leave about 7am. Which means I should get up at ... eh, 6:15am. If I go to bed now and don't read for too long it'll still be more sleep than I've had all week. My goodness I'm tired.
I do want to read more "Temeraire," although this business of dragons flying upside down bothers me. Birds can't fly upside down, why should dragons be able to?

Actually I've always wanted to go to CG as well...I hope you have a great day. (I feel like we are living vicariously through everyone else we know who has a life! but...we have power now - major step!)

Over all I find the A1 a very comfortable, relaxing place, the eggs and homefries and tea were good. And the music was quite tolerable - this morning it was crooners and smokey jazz. :) I do not recommend the corned beef hash - it doesn't deserve the name, although I wolfed it down this morning. Too little actual meat in it, too many potatoes, and weird spices. Also, the waitress did not bring a saucer with my tea, so I had no place to put my teabag. I ended up putting it into the little metal pot she brought the water in, and when I asked for another tea bag she put the new bag in with the old one and topped up the water. Perhaps she could be corrected on that.
