our interlibrary loan might be the slowest ever

Remember I posted that I was joining rachelmanija's Permanent Floating YA Diversity Book Club on October 14? I'm pretty sure that I did, as promised, go to the library the next day, or if not the next I didn't wait long. JUST got the book today. They initially said they would check to see if they wanted to order it or get it interlibrary and they would call me on Monday to let me know which they were doing, so I waited a week before bugging them about it, at which point they had no record of my having been there and we had to start over again. Anyhow, I think I'm going to start reading it tonight. :) Setting aside "The Stainless Steel Rat's Revenge," "The Yellow Admiral" and "The Practice Effect" ... do you think I overbook myself? (ha ha, ain't I a rattle.)
