For the record - I think Micheal Moore meant that Pakistan was one of the countries besides the U.S. with heighest casualties. I forgive his inaccurate wording because I find it so difficult to word that correctly myself - in emotional extremity it would be nearly impossible.

According to CNN's site, (and I don't know if they are including the dead from the planes as well as from the buildings) Pakistan (200 dead and missing) is beat out by Columbia (208), India (250), and Great Britain (200-300). They don't say how many U.S. citizens are dead or missing, so Pakistan is probably in the top 4 or 5 other countries besides the US to have lost people. (The Netherlands is even more confused than Great Britain - "3 confirmed dead, some estimates put missing at about 400".) Of course probably more than 2 thirds of the victims were US citizens. (I didn't intend to say that Pakistan lost more than the U.S., though it may have come out of my mouth sounding that way.)

From CNN:
"Nearly 2,000 people from more than 60 countries are victims of the World Trade center disaster."

also from CNN:
"New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has announced that 6,333 people, *including non-U.S. citizens,* have been reported missing at the World Trade Center."

One of my friends suggests we won't hear the U.S. death count until it's time for Dubya to whip us up into a killing frenzy.

Well, part of the technicality concerning the "death count" is that they can't confirm a death until they find a body and id it. Of course, it's assumable that everyone who is still missing is dead, but they're saying now they probably won't even be able to find all the bodies in the WTC rubble so there will be some people that will remain "missing" forever.

Yup. 13 tons of jet fuel probably does a remarkably efficient job of cremation.
