This really is a peculiar thing. I've had people suggest that it could be a plant or bug that Paula ate causing her legs to give out. We try to keep plants where the cats can't get at them. They also never come in contact with other animals, and few bugs, although we do have a lot of ladybugs in the house right now. But this cat has never shown any interest in eating anything besides cat food and tuna, and the occational bit of ice-cream.:)

So, she's gone to the vet, and they've run blood tests, taken x-rays and all sorts of things, and ruled out just about everything they could think of. (Which was pretty much what Eor had done last night - he did a web search, found lots of feline diseases which had similar symptoms, but none _exactly_ the same.) After getting her rehydrated (we don't know exactly how long it had been that she hadn't drunk water) they said she looked like a perfectly healthy cat, aside from staggering around and appearing to be in a good pain.

The only thing they found was what looked like some slight inflamation around her hips. So they think either she somehow got hurt, or possibly she might have an inflamation at the base of her brain. (And not eating was just caused by being in a lot pain.) So the doctor gave us an anti-inflamatory and a pain killer. And now we wait. She has another appointment on Monday.
