Last night at the end of the evening I was talking with a couple of guys and one other woman at work, and one of the guys mentioned that he was going with some friends to take out another friend for his birthday, and they were trying to decide whether to go to Platinum Plus or down to the Golden Banana. I said, without thinking about it, "go to Platinum Plus. Golden Banana is not worth the trip. If you're going to drive there's a better strip club down in southern Mass." and went on to add that I didn't write a review of that one, but I did write reviews of Platinum Plus and the Banana... I should have really kept my mouth shut and if they asked said I had _read_ reviews. But, I spun it a little, later - I told them that, at the company Eor used to work at people would invite all their friends out, not divide into male and female groups, and that when going to a strip club guys would bring their girlfriends along. It's sorta-kinda true. In reality, Eor and I had a habit of going to strip clubs with Hadley, and then Hadley invited all kinds of other people, male and female, along for his 40th birthday party.

If you're interested, my reviews are here. Platinum Plus used to be Mark's Showplace, and I haven't updated my review, yet. It hasn't changed a lot, over-all, but they give you $2 bills, now, instead of $1, to give to the dancers.

And in other things which have been distracting me, lately...
William Gibson has a new book out.

Neil Gaiman has again managed to run afoul of fanfic authors, even though he basically supports them.

And I'm afraid I'm going to be late for work, now.
