It's snowing like crazy! I thought it would be just a little, but it hasn't let up since early morning. Part of me is a still a tiny bit excited, like a little kid, but that part has gotten much more subdued, almost betrayed feeling, since I can't call out from work for snow. It has to be 'sick' no matter what, and the Powers look at you crosswise for calling in sick when the weather is bad because we have to sign a thing saying that we understand we are Essential Personnel and must make it to work no matter what the weather conditions. They should pay for 4 wheel drive vehicles and the gas to run them if they insist on that, imho.*

I started to talk to a rep at Comcast this morning about my problems getting Firefox to connect with websites (it takes multiple refreshes to get anything to come up, these days, and it seems to be affecting Eor's computer, too, so I don't think it's my security settings), but he needed the account number or Eor's last four of his SSN or the amount paid on the last bill, and I could not produce any of those items. I said I would gather them and be back tomorrow, but privately I'm thinking that if Phoebe wants to go out for breakfast tomorrow I really want to do that.

*Have I ever mentioned how much I miss the fact that the Pictsies in Discworld no longer use 'imho' as a word? I loved that they did that in the first couple of books they appeared in, but in the Tiffany Aching books they never do, and it makes me sad.
