I should have done this looooong before now - a link to Shawn the Inscrutable's Doors and Windows. I think it will appeal to Neil Gaimon fans.
Someone thought they found glove bombs in the checked baggage. Even more amusing, though, was the fact that the guy who's baggage it was, (his name was something like Barlow), claims to have written songs for the Grateful Dead ("just about everything Garcia didn't sing"), and said that the 'glove bombs' were laser gloves for dancing with. Our professional musician on staff didn't recognize his name (though he's a jazz musician, and wasn't too interested in the Dead I guess) and only commented that he smelled bad. JimDes will collect all the dirt on him tonight.
My plans for the week:
Eor has had a bad earache for weeks, we're taking him to quick care tomorrow, then to get new glasses - his old ones are falling apart. Sunday we have a coffee for one of our email groups. Monday I intend to go dancing at the goth place which Lemondropgirl keeps inviting me to... I hope she'll go _this_ time, as I have had to keep turning her down. Tuesday is bowling (I don't bowl, I just cheer :)), and Wednesday I plan to go see Daredevil.:)

Doe,
Incredible! Do a search under the name "John Perry
Barlow" in just about any search engine and you will
be amazed at the incredible amount of information
about this guy!
I have to get his autograph if he ever comes through
the checkpoint again! He wrote one of my alltime
favorite songs, "Mexicali Blues".
He is also an author of many usegroup articles and is
outspoken on the war in Iraq. I can appreciate a lot
of his work and political views, I just wish I had
recognized him or even known who he was prior to
chatting with him last night. - Jim

So, here's one of the links...
The Barlow Home(stead) page
And the really odd thing is, Eor and I heard an interview with him about a year or so ago in which he told this story about the death of his fiance(?), Dr. Cynthia Horner.
