I wrote to Maine Public Broadcasting, and they said they decided not to buy another season of Ballykissangle. grrr.
Yesterday I return to work after my two days off and am informed I'm to act as lead on a lane, upstairs. Meaning, in charge of 6 people, making sure they're all happy and swap the tasks they're doing every half hour, filling in at any position needed, testing equipment, and dealing with customers. And it was the Selectee lane, meaning we were doing the intensive searches. When anyone asked how I was I said "going insane," but finally someone asked "are you having fun yet?" and the answer was "yes!" Actually, I was. It was nice to do something different and a little more challenging than usual. Everything went off without any major hitches, people told me I did pretty good. I learned some things. It was a good day.:)
I have to wonder why they decided to put me in charge of a lane when they've never done that before in the past year. I've got to think they're scraping the bottom of the barrel.;)
