I went out to a movie. Because Teena asked me to. I rode the bus home with her and she asked if I wanted to go to a movie. Yes. her - the young one with the much older boyfriend. It was a scary movie. I hate scary movies. The only good point was getting to snuggle up to her during it.;) Only somewhat damaged by her worrying afterward that someone (theatre staff, because we were the only ones in there) might have seen us snuggling and thought we were lesbians. Bad point -
eor is gone to work and I'm trying to read lots of nice things to get myself calmed down so I can sleep. It's been an hour and a quarter. I think I should give up.
I fucking hate scarey movies.
Oh, it was called "Godsend." As far as I'm concerned, don't bother, unless you've got an amazing ability to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy a scarey movie. Her first statement as the credits rolled was, "That was dumb!" and it was. ( here be spoilers for a dumb dumb dumb plot )
Wait, there was one other good point of going out to the movie - getting the phone number of a girl who works at the movie theatre who I haven't talked to in a dog's age. I worked with her at Hannaford back in the day when it was Shop N' Save.:)
I walked to work this morning (okay, yesterday morning, now) - I'd had a good night's sleep and woke up incredibly charged and ran around and did lots around the house, and then
eor told me the car was in peices so I couldn't drive, so I really booked it, and walked all the way in 55 minutes. :) So, I felt quite good about myself. And then bought myself a java chip frappuchino (which Teena made special for me with extra whipped cream) - okay, that probably just gave me over 600 calories back. And sent my brain bouncing off the inside of my skull most pleasurably.;) I was wound. Careened through the rest of the day.
And what a bizarre day.
Two people I really like and will miss gave notice, today - Big Mama, who's last day will be Saturday; and AW, who will work 2 weeks more. (I've mentioned before, they both worked overnights with me when we were in OJT, and it was a small crew overnight.)
Also we were informed Uncle K is going to be traded to morning shift. He isn't happy - he's not at all a morning person. None of us screeners are happy - he's someone we're used to and know how to deal with. We have no idea why the Director seems to feel this sort of thing is necessary. My only hypothesis is that he doesn't want managers and screeners to get too close - he wants to keep us divided.
I'm broken up. It's too much change all at once. Sometimes I don't do well with change.
