Family weekend

Just attempted to catch up on reading my friends page for the last two days. Some of you have been busy little posters.:)

Yesterday we went for a walk with eor's Mom and sister and neice, then had breakfast with them, and later when his other sister (the neice's mom) arrived we went to dinner at Newick's (family tradition). Today it's the big family gathering at Portland Head Light. If you happen to be there today, we'll all be wearing white polo shirts his Mom had made up.:)

Otherwise I've been busy working lots of overtime this week. I need to rake in as much of that time and a half pay as I can before the new rules go into effect on Aug. 23rd and overtime gets paid only straight hourly pay. (I don't know for sure that will apply to us, but we were informed a few months ago that we were considered "essential personnel," so I think they're going to classify us that way.) How the hell could we let our Congress pass that? It's so fucking wrong.

Gotta go buy picknick food. :)

Back from the family thing. Very tired. Have had ice-cream and tea, and watched an ep of Futurama. Will probably have a little more tea then go do the grocery shopping I didn't do earlier. eor's cousin's kids are truely cute in that not overdone way (they're both for the most part very happy and self-contained, and incredibly determined - they will manage what they set out to do) and I took many many pics of them and as many of the adults as I could - I hope a few come out.:)

My tummy hurts from eating things I shouldn't have. Bread, mainly.
