I sent out my current snail mail address to a bunch of people the other day, and have gotten back lots of emails from people who I really should make a habit of writing to. One just said "she's alive!" Uh, yeah, I suck at writing to people. I doubt there's anyone else out there in LJ land who needs my current address (NOT State St.) (I'm actually fond of my street name because it's the same as my grandmother's maiden name, isn't that silly? It makes me feel as though some relatives of mine could have lived here at one time.)

-----(time lapse - my attention span doesn't allow for writing a whole post at the same time, these days--------------

[livejournal.com profile] eor is very kindly picking all the patches off my old uniform shirts, for me. The patches have to be returned today. The shirts I can keep. Yay. A lot of white shirts with epaulets. Heh. :) I should go do my time sheet to turn in, while I'm out there. I also have to get my picture taken for a new id. Should I put on makeup?

Got my new ID photo taken. As it turned out I could have used the old one, and they don't even care if you're in your uniform for the picture, but since I'd brought along the new uniform shirt and even put on a little lipstick, and my hair looks much better right now (I think), I asked her to take a new picture.

I returned the patches, turned in my time sheet... I think my obligations to work are completely discharged for this week.

I went to get more cat food, but they didn't have a whole case available at the vet's so I took two and will go back tomorrow. Or, I could go to another vet and ask them to order it. I'm leaning toward this course because if I go back there tomorrow she's going to ask me if I want her to call in the prescription the vet wants me to give Paula for her thyroid.

I have still not managed to give her the two other meds she is supposed to have had. Mainly because I can't remember to do something for three days in a row, let alone a week. And Paula hates the taste of the antibiotic. The vet tech offered to get another type of antibiotic that would taste as bad, but I'm foreseeing yet more money being spent on yet another medication I won't give her. And, as [livejournal.com profile] eor reminded me, I've still got wisdom teeth that should have been extracted when I was twenty, but I keep putting other things ahead of that.

I can't really win - either I'm going to feel like an idiot or an asshole.

Now back to some serious being lazy on my vacation.
