After some light housecleaning (in case anyone did decide to show up, against all my expectations) we had a breakfast (leftover capon, refried), opened our presents, and then proceded to spend the day lazing around.  [livejournal.com profile] eor is scanning my old journals from high school and playing the Discworld Mud, I've been reading the Yuletide Treasure stories.  Wow, I'd never imagined there were so many fandoms represented.  I wish I'd realized The Real Ghostbusters was on their list, because last year I wrote "Solstice" as a sort of present for [livejournal.com profile] tronella and [livejournal.com profile] lekythen - I might have added it in there.  They actually don't have any Real Ghostbusters fic, even though it's represented.  I suppose it's too late, and doesn't count if it's already been posted elsewhere, probably.

But, to the important part of the holiday!  The loot!

I got [livejournal.com profile] eor a robe (warm blue terrycloth) and a nice black shirt with a sort of Neo look to it for wearing out dancing - I think it becomes him, that makes me happy. :)  He seems happy enough with my gifts.

However, he got me much more and better (he is an excellent gift buyer, which is good because he prefers giving)...

-A Gregory Maguire book, "Mirror, Mirror"

-R.A.McAvoy, "King of the Dead" and "In The Belly of the Wolf" (books 2 and 3 of the Lens of the World series)

-The complete Blackadder set (special yay!)  (And which has the Christmas special on it, which I really want to watch, but I'm not sure Eor and Teena will go for that.)

-something which, in the wrapping paper, appeared to be a dildo...  I think I opened that first, glad that nobody had dropped by.;)  It turned out to be a summer sausage, wrapped with two paper balls.  *chuckle* :)

Santa got a new scanner for us both, because the old one died right at the beginning of this journal scanning project (so wonderful of Eor to do that for me - I'd never have got around to typing all that stuff in, and it does feel like you're losing something if you don't have the old handwriting and sketches in the margins).

His sister gave me the Jeeves and Wooster books (which I opened when they came in, a couple of weeks ago), and she also sent two Suzanne Vega CDs for him and the movie "After Hours" for both of us.:)

His mother sent us a phone card and a Visa gift card, and (drum roll please!) THE most bizarre gift of the year...

A Santa tea pot.  It claims to be a Gregorian design, on the box it was in - this thing is so gaudy it goes over the top into kinda cool. :)  It's Saint Nickolas, dressed in green, and it depicts him from his arms up.  You take his hat off and pour hot water into his head, and tea pours out through his sack of toys.  It holds a LOT of tea, and we've filled it twice today.:)
