(edit to fix the post time. sheesh.)

When other people have holidays is when I can't possibly get a holiday, because everyone is travelling, and I have to be there to screen them.  Kind of unavoidable.  Still, it makes me think, maybe I've been beating myself up too much.  I've been feeling like I'm a wussy-baby for not getting more projects done and things sent out to friends, but I really don't have that much time and energy left over at this season.  On the other hand, all summer can be bad, too.  But in the summer the management lightens up, so that we can do things in a more sensible manner, and this fall they instituted more rules intended to make things more difficult (honestly, that's the only reason I can see for some of thise new procedures - purposely to slow us up, just like the reason the qwerty keyboard was originally invented - because typists could move so fast that the keys got jammed, so something had to be done to slow them up.)

Yesterday was BUSY - running bags was a literal term, and an aerobic activity.

And then last night I received a package from my brother, Hawk, with chocolate covered coffee beans and another candy, coffee nudges - yum!!  :)  That reminded me that it can be nice to have relatives who neglect getting things sent out on time. :)
Hey, I couldn't resist posting this when I realized you get to vote. :)

What kind of pirate am I? You decide!
You can also view a breakdown of results or put one of these on your own page!

Hm, I was voted by three people as a woman pirate, by two as a crafty ship's captain, and by one as a scurvey sea dog.  (and [livejournal.com profile] eor said, "somebody knows you!" ;))  Sooo....?  Fess up, all, I won't thwap you. :)

"maarrrWOW," says the cat.  I should tell you all when she's yowling in the other room, just so you can suffer, too. ;)    Her back legs seem to be moving more easily every day.

I got a card from my bro, reading, "So I figured the best way to make Christmas better is to extend it for a week or two... and to that end I've purposely waited to send you this little gift. :)"  *grin*

Tomorrow is MarinerBrook's last day with TSA.  He's the one who loaned me my first Jeeves and Wooster book, and most forebearingly listened to me babble on about how slashy it was. ;)  He's a smart guy, with a quick wit and an opinion on everything, and we're going to miss him.

time for bed.  I'm sure there was lots more I wanted to say, but sleeping is important, too.
