I think I forgot to mention when I finished Mirror, Mirror. )

I finished Thank you, Jeeves )

Now I'm reading Jules Verne, the Mysterious Island. )

I've had the CD [livejournal.com profile] daegaer sent me in my car for weeks, now, and I woke up in the mornings with different songs off it running through my head. :)  (*hums* "I've got a pretty little bungalow...")  I decided yesterday it might be a good idea to listen to the radio a bit, to get exposed to something different.
Way back.  Back into time.  When the only people who existed were cavemen.  Neanderthals.  Troglodytes.

No, wait.  Let's stop at two years ago.

Zen reminded me of [livejournal.com profile] daegaer's essay, written two years ago, on what the Bible says on homosexuality, Straining at Gnats, and since I didn't know how to do memory entries then (duh) I've just got around to memory markering it.

She was inspired to write this by Real Live Preacher
Since I already did most of this in a comment on [livejournal.com profile] tronella's journal, and found the fifth one on [livejournal.com profile] camwyn's list:
List five fictional people -- from television, movies, books, whatever -- that you had a crush on as a child (or early teens). Then post this on your LiveJournal so other people can be assured that you're as weird as they thought.

Like [livejournal.com profile] camwyn, I also wasn't much for the crush thing, so these are kinda vague.  I almost could just use all the major characters from LOTR or Star Trek (except Kirk) and leave it at that, because my feelings for one or another character weren't really that much stronger.  So, in order of importance...

1) Drac from The Drac Pack cartoon. (Drac was my first very definite crush on a fictional person.  Then Wolfie)
2) Grizzly Adams (then ...  Theodore Roosevelt?  He turned up in one ep. ;))
3) Pippin (then Merry, Gimli, Sam and Frodo.  Legolas didn't show up on the pre-adolescent crushometer at all.  However, I was convinced of the same slash pairings then as I am now: Gimli/Legolas, Sam/Frodo, Merry/Pippin.)
4) Spock (then Uhura, Chekov and Bones.)
5) Han Solo (then Chewie and Leia.)

Y'know what, though... I can't pretend I didn't list all these other ones already because Tronny and Camwyn know the truth, but I just remembered Wonder Woman.  Linda Carter.  Damn.  She really should knock everyone after Drac downhill one.

There.  Dorky enough for ya?  I bet nobody else remembers The Drac Pack at all.
