In other news... 

I wrote to Tree, who was like my brother for some years (when I was between 10 to 14 -ish) because he lives down in DC and I'm hoping to meet his wife and kids while I'm down there for training.  His Mom is sort of aunt-like to me and sends me pictures of them, and they're SO cute.  He hasn't written to me in ages, though, and I don't know how he feels about me showing up out of the blue.  We were tight at that time, but, you know, people change.  I was a dork and a loser, then, and I'm still a dork, now, but I've sort of grown into my dorkitude, but he can't know that... and he's now a lawyer for the EPA and stuff, so he's all respectable.  I'm nervous, but telling myself I'm NOT going to feel bad about it if he doesn't write back. 

Also; I finished "Mike," and now I want MORE.  I did not expect to like Psmith at all, and now I'm hooked.  Dammit. eta [perv] Of course I know that in none of the other stories are they public school boys, and I'm sure that's one of my greatest draws to this story. I mean, public school boys... mmmm... how can you go wrong? [/perv]

Fic: The Book (Mike/Psmith)

Oh, I know I should not do this.  But I already have.  I am evil and bad because I'm writing about something I have absolutely no firsthand knowledge of - Greek texts.  Does anyone have A) any idea what text he might be reading?  and B) any crits at all regarding this little short?  Anything might be helpful if I decide to keep going with this.

Summary: Mike finds a book Psmith had been reading that teaches him something about Psmith which he hadn't guessed at.
Notes: Set just after the end of "Mike."  They have the bulk of their last year at Sedleigh to go through before going on to college, making them about eighteen.
