Only a few minutes ago all was complete darkness, outside, and now the window of the house across the alley is a paler blue patch, it's outline firming each moment.

... How does the time fly?  Only a few minutes ago it was two hours ago.

Apparently the false memory meme is going around again - I saw it on both [livejournal.com profile] mhw's journal and on [livejournal.com profile] luvsrimmer's.  (I thought it was interesting it would hit me from two separate sources on the same morning, so I attempted to backtrack it a little to see if there was a common friend, but no such luck.  [livejournal.com profile] mhw got it from [livejournal.com profile] volterra who got it from [livejournal.com profile] baronlaw, and Luvsie got it from [livejournal.com profile] ragdoll.  And there my backtracking attempts died.)

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want – good or bad – BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

I suck at the game, but it's fun. :)  Of course I suck even worse at the real memories game, because I just haven't got any.  That's why I didn't play it when it came around.

Absence of Madeline is now posted in proper php format.  I had forgotten that Eor made me a little thingy which does the conversion for me.  It's not perfect, but there it is.  (Yes, I deleted my earlier post ranting about how much work it was doing php.  The half of the story I had done looked great, but it had taken an hour and was only half done.  Now it's all done, and it only took me five more minutes.)

And, yes, this IS the same 'Absence of Madeline' I completed way back in August, the Jeeves/Wooster/Gussie story, so you've probably already seen it in one form or another.  Now I've got some time and distance from having written it, and have let some of my co-workers read it, I feel less concerned about the sex in the story.  I guess I just worry too much.

ETA 2007-11-30: This story contains adult content, but I'm not changing this entry to reflect that because it's not posted on LiveJournal.
