My method of all cooking seems to be to turn on the heat, then read until I smell something.  And [livejournal.com profile] mars_assassins kept me well distracted until my english muffin was almost burnt. :)  I wonder what can have been going on with me on the 24th of January that I would miss a [livejournal.com profile] mars_assassins post?  (I went back and looked, but all I saw was that I was drinking heavily.  Hm.  And I didn't say why.  Not even a private post.  What good is keeping a journal if I don't tell my future-self anything?)  Anyway, Chapter Forty-Six is up, and I hadn't read Chapter Forty-Five.  Which means I'm happy, today, with a double-dose of 19th Century Schwartzy Goodness. :)  (Badness?  Well, they don't seem quite so bad when there's nobody around for them to kill.)  Plenty of cute-Nagi and jealous-mood-swingy-Schuldig and archaeological-Crawford and huge long sentences and guy-cuddling!
I don't know how I forgot to mention - Olympic snowboarder Seth Wescott checked his snowboards in with us while I was doing my short stint working downstairs, yesterday.  Several people got his autograph.  I didn't ask because it seems kind of rude to me, but he gave out pins with his name on them to all of us.  He seemed genuinely delighted to be signing autographs, though, and also stopped to talk with one of my co-workers about his son as he made out an autograph for the son, so maybe the new hasn't worn off for him.  He looked much younger than that picture I linked to.
