([livejournal.com profile] cygny's feeling lonely!  Awww... I would be, too.)
Via [livejournal.com profile] camwyn. I was kind of surprised I didn't get Canada, myself.  But "You love your scones and tea, and reading soppy romance novels" is so correct that I checked under the kitchen table wondering where the test-results-writer is hiding.  (The sappy romance novels just happen to be about gay Victorian soldiers.)

Inspired by this exchange with [livejournal.com profile] bravecows I was turning over the possibility of having a scene in a story where someone rants insanely about the Grand Canyon as a symbol of capitalism, because I thought that sounded so very silly... but then I thought that was so out-there that it wouldn't even be amusing.  So, just for giggles, I stuck 'grand canyon' 'capitalism' into Google, just to see what I came up with, and the first hit was a plan by the Cato Institute to sell the Grand Canyon to Disney.  The article is only three months old.
