Yesterday was a lovely day, as [livejournal.com profile] eor reports, and sometime during the end of the day I began to come out of the cold-induced state of zombification.  This morning I woke up at 6:30AM feeling rested and happy, with only the remnants of cold symptoms.

I was just looking at his list of books there and going, "... something's missing.  hm, what could it be..."  It would be the books which I bought.  I found "The Liar" and "The Hippopotamus," by Stephen Fry.  I don't know how good "The Hippopotamus" is, given that the same two copies have been at that bookstore for at least a year.  No, I assume they are the same two copies, they might not be.  I also saw a stack of Stanislaw Lem books that might have been first editions, and I didn't dare look at the price.

Oh, something I noticed, yesterday.  You may or may not want to know this, but it could be helpful to you.  If you have something greasy for breakfast, like hash, it's probably not a good idea to follow it up with a cod liver oil pill.  Oil on top of grease, it just doesn't work out well.  In fact I suspect that there's something to the old tradition of having the cod liver oil just before bed.  That gives it all night to digest, with dinner to buffer it.

I very nearly fell for the cute old-fashioned square bottle of cod liver oil that I would have to pour out into a spoon, but thankfully caught myself in time and got the gel capsules.  That was... what?  Thursday.  I was really in a fog.  I should not have been driving.

Okay, now I must be off to do all the things that I neglected, yesterday. :)

Hey, one more thing - we both almost missed a post by [livejournal.com profile] lucylou the other day because it showed up halfway down both my and [livejournal.com profile] eor's flist.  After some discussion, we think maybe this is because she's in a time zone to the west of us.  So a question to those of you to my east - if we post toward the end of the day, do my and [livejournal.com profile] eor's posts often show up between other things you've already read?  You might never have noticed, because you might not go back and forth other all the posts for the day obsessively, like I do.
