home sick

Yeah, I suppose I should have posted earlier so I could beg for things to distract me from being sick, but I didn't have a lot of energy for distractions.  I slept, paid bills, and watched five episodes of Bleach.  (Of course I sneak and do it when bravecows isn't around to see. ;))  And then eor came home and wanted to go try out the new kites.  I didn't last long in the cold wind - my throat got really sore very quickly - but it was fun. :)  I kept crashing mine; it's very pretty, with a sun&moon face on blue, but it doesn't fly very well.  Not horrible, it just lists to the left.  I decided it's more fun, though, flying the difficult one.  His delta-wing kite just went up and stayed up, wings curved and snapping like cards against bike spoke with the pull, the string singing. 

I really should do a weekend update before we get much farther from the weekend.  Hm.  It's all kind of a blur, but I'll see what I can do.  eor's sister appears to have married into a very Soprano-esque sort of family, at least according to his aunt.  Very friendly and boisterous.  :)  And eor, again, was a huge hit with the kids, playing in the pool to the extent that he has scabs from scraping himself up on the concrete.
