Dad called looking for info on Eightball's plans for the next few days, and all I was able to tell him was "He's going to be in Maine some time Saturday." Lotsa help. Well, it was a little to him because he wasn't sure if he should leave the house today, thinking Eightball might show up. But. Then I went and sent around Eightball's information (that consists of "going to be in Maine Saturday through Monday") to the rest of the family, because I realized he's made NO firm plans, just like everyone else in my immediate family, and probably for the same reason - he's too shy to call or write and say "Can I visit you?" until it's the absolute last minute and he has to. At least shyness is what I attribute it to.
So then I went and subscribed five family members to my Yahoo group for family so as to give people a place to post plans and news. I mean... that was what I made it for, so that I wouldn't have to be the communicator of the family, because I suck at that. And yet I'm the person who it ends up falling to because everyone else sucks even worse - or at least that's how it feels to me. :)
I hope I haven't been rude to them by subscribing them to a group they might not want to be in. Although I should probably make another group for my Dad's side of the family.
Damn it, the sun is coming out. I was hoping it would stay cool and overcast for my walk to work. Okay, off I go.
