OMG it is so cold in here, today!

Uh oh, I just remembered I got invited out to breakfast, today. I have like 45 minutes to shower, pack lunch and uniform and do dishes and get out of here. It's not really enough. I should go. Still, I wanted also to post this other reply I made in response to a comment from LookstoAlaska as regards the cold. (And yes, as you say, LtA, the law in Maine is 68 degrees, so I guess until it falls below that mark they're not going to give us heat.) (However, as I was typing that I heard a radiator clunk. Once. The sun is just rising, so I have opened the shades as per Eor's command and maybe we'll get some heat gain.) (The sky is pale and clear blue with little dabs of gleaming white clouds! I love parenthetical statements.)

Your roommate sounds like my Dad. Robert Skoglund was roommates with my Dad in college and he said my Dad liked to play Arctic Explorere - leave all his stuff in a pile under the window, leave the window open so the snow would come in, then dig for what he needed in the morning.
