Damn it's cold and windy out. Sucks the breath right out of you. I tried to shovel a space for my car alongside the road, but didn't do a very good job. Not that it matters a whole lot - as soon as I backed the car into it and climbed out the driver's side I collapsed a bunch of the snow out of the bank and back under the car. Anyway, someone else will just steal my space the next time I move my car anyway.
The city did a pretty good job of clearing the road, but didn't push the snow back as far as they could have - it's several feet from the curb - and then when people snowblowed the sidewalk in front of their houses they just put the snow back in the street. Which pisses me off. Now the street is so narrow that even my car (not very big) can barely fit between the cars parked on both sides. I think they ought to do an 'emergency no parking' along one side of the street and go along with a flamethrower to clear it back a bit. Melt it right into the storm drain. Seems logical to me.
Why are people so dumb? It's not like it doesn't snow like this every year; why aren't people better at handling it?
Oh, and while I'm at it, I'm just going to go on and complain about the stupid cow who was behind me in line at the grocery store and tossed the divider down about a foot in front of her stuff and started loading the belt when I hadn't even gotten half through emptying my cart. The cashier ended up having to stop picking things up off the belt and let me hand her my last things directly because there was just no more space.
Then the manager who was bagging put my ice-cream in with my meat. Salmonella! E-coli! Yuck! That creeps me out.
Got this quiz from my Mom's blog, and it seems perfect for today. ;)
I think I've just been dealing with the public for too long. I don't think an hour goes by at work when I'm not annoyed at someone. I need to break this cycle. I know it's bad for me - my blood pressure, my general health. I want a vacation, but after that I should probably also look into meditation or some sort of counseling.
However. I'm home, now. I have some groceries to put away, and then I'll do some dishes because I have beautiful new cups to wash - yay!! :)
