Not enough sleep last night. I lay down for a while but couldn't get back to sleep. Kept thinking about things I needed and wanted to do, but as usual when I'm too tired I then didn't do them. I'm vicious circling again.

What I have done, thus far today, is finally post the Ivan Vorpatril/Byerly Vorrutyer (Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan universe) story which I wrote ages back. I was trying to wring a few last comments out of my betas, for a while, and then the ficathon started and I didn't want to get mixed up in that because my story was not a request fulfillment. So, it's up on [livejournal.com profile] bujold_fic:

Adjusting Perspective, Chapter One
Adjusting Perspective, Chapter Two
Adjusting Persepective, Chapter Three

I apologize for the clunky business of using / to indicate a place where italics would have been much better suited. I originally had the html in the text file, but that caused no end of trouble for my beta readers when they tried to open the files at their ends.
But this morning when I sort of started to doze I found myself in my dream walking across a lawn in front of a half-built building. The facade was looking great, white with pale pink pillars, but I could see somewhat around the corner of the building and it was clear that the back was still under construction. It was the hotel in "The Man With The Golden Gun." I've got to admit, I don't recall in the movie that Scaramanga was involved with some cheesy real-estate scam, it seemed all a bit more glamorous than that.
