This morning (while at Big Sky) I reviewed what I wrote yesterday and decided it wasn't quite so horrible as I that thought initially. And I wrote more. :)

I under dressed for my walk (at least for the way out - the sun was higher and warmer on the way back). It's the middle of October all of a sudden!

I just decided to investigate this CD that's supposed to have the pictures of the CAT scans of my neck on it. It seems to have some sort of application to open them and possibly I don't have something it needs on my computer because it's hanging up. Only that application, though, everything else seems to work fine. I guess I thought they'd be ordinary jpg files.

Today's big plan - go to the craft store (which should be open in a few minutes) and get red paint and a tiny paintbrush. We bought this very very small chess/checkers/backgammon set the other day when we were at Borders, and when we got it home we found out why such a nice looking (on the outside) game was on sale. The tiny tiny pieces are almost identical, so you can't tell which pieces are yours. Oh, there is a slight difference in the reflectiveness of the metal used to make them, but it's not significant enough if you were, say, playing by candlelight at camp, which is what we'd want it for. I suppose I could take the easy way out and just put a ring of nail polish around all the pieces from one side, but that seems to lack grace.

Okay; shirt button sewed on, paint and brushes acquired, chess set painted, exercises done, dishes done. Feels like a pretty good day. :)

Only, I don't know if this magnetic chess set is really going to work at all, and I'm a little bummed about that. When the pieces get too close too each other (which I'm nearly certain they would be on the board, it's so small) they suck each other up with the magnetism! I thought the way those boards were supposed to work was that the board was magnetized, not the pieces.

My stomach is singing to me like a whale. Do you suppose it's the zucchini and egg soup I had for lunch? Perhaps if I put a chunk of granola down there it'll shut up. Or, tea! Tea is good for everything, right? :)
