First trip into the unmapped lands with Mr. Dunniver quite interesting. Brilliant leader, good team, I learned a lot. Glad to be back in civilization again. If you can call Abernetty civilization. Will try to see Ethan tomorrow. Hope he still wants to be friends. It has been a few months and no telling what's gone on for him. There was no sense in him writing letters to me, as there was no mail delivery out there. He's been back with boys of his own class at school, while I've been off working. It could be different with us. I'd better not mull over it, though. Nothing to be done.

I'll be happy to tell him that we saw some of the Chrrits. One of them took a shot at a Chrrit, but I spoiled his aim. I can't think what's to be done, though.
