what are we going to do today, Brain?

Looking forward to breakfast at the place up the street! Then it's off to Home Despot for lumber and nails and then back down to the cellar to build shelving and continue the cleaning and organizing.

Well, our little local breakfast place has closed until March. Bummer. So we spent some time this morning searching around Brunswick for a place to eat, and eventually settled on the Brunswick Diner, which I thought was perfectly fine but Eor was not so keen on. It was a real place, an actual old fashioned diner, a tiny trailer-type thing, about six booths and a counter the whole length, and with a couple of wrecker drivers hanging out having breakfast and talking with the waitress. Just as we were leaving people started pouring in, so I guess it's the local place to eat.

Because we did eat we were able to do a good and careful job shopping at Lowe's. (Not Home Despot, actually, but I guess that's kind of become our default term for the big chain 'home improvement' stores - the chains are pretty shoddy.) We got stuff for the sump pump project and the shelving in the basement to get stuff up off the floor until/so that we can get crushed rock down.

Then Eor worked in the basement and I did grocery shopping and cooked so that there would be food for my man when he got tired out. He's such a hard worker, poor dear, and he's tuckered now and in bed. I'm headed there myself, soon as possible.

Am working at 8am tomorrow. <---- BIG REMINDER TO SELF.
